UNIOSUN Post-UTME: Requirements, Format and Practice

UNIOSUN post-UTME explained from its official pages: aptitude test or screening rule, O'level credits, age rule, the admissions portal and 2026/2027 results.

ExamPadi Editorial · Updated · 6 min read

Osun State University states on its own undergraduate admissions page that 100 level candidates must pass the UNIOSUN Aptitude Test or Screening. The page is brief, and the portal it points to showed that the 2026 screening was already closed and results were out when we looked. This guide uses those official pages and flags what is only reported.

What the screening is

UNIOSUN's undergraduate admission page lists, for 100 level UTME candidates, an acceptable JAMB score and the requirement to pass the UNIOSUN Aptitude Test or Screening. It repeats under Mandatory for All Candidates: pass the UNIOSUN Aptitude Test or Post-UTME Screening. The page does not say whether it is a computer-based paper, an online check or a venue test, and it gives no subjects or duration. The admissions portal homepage said the 2026 admission screening result was available and that registration had closed, which tells us the 2026 exercise has run its course.

Who can apply

From UNIOSUN's official undergraduate admission page:

  • Five credit passes at SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent in not more than two sittings; a credit in English Language is compulsory.
  • A credit in Mathematics for Science, Social Sciences and Management Sciences programmes.
  • An acceptable JAMB UTME score; the page does not state the number.
  • A minimum age of 16 by 30 September of the admission year.
  • Direct Entry (200 level): two A'level passes (A-Level, IJMB, JUPEB) or approved equivalents, plus three other credits at SSCE level and an acceptable JAMB Direct Entry form.

For 2025/2026, education news sites reported 160 as the general UTME mark and 200 for professional programmes. Those numbers are reported, not from the official page, so confirm before you rely on them.

How to apply

Use the undergraduate admissions portal at admissions.uniosun.edu.ng (linked from uniosun.edu.ng). For 2025/2026, education sites reported a 2,000 naira screening fee plus a 3,000 naira portal access fee, but the official pages we read do not state fees. For questions, the admission office email is [email protected], and the office is open Monday to Friday.

How your score is worked out

UNIOSUN's pages say admission is strictly based on merit and subject to the prescribed requirements, and they publish approved cut-off marks as a downloadable document. They do not state an aggregate formula or the weighting between UTME, screening and O'level in the text we read. For a method only, see our aggregate calculator guide.

What is not published

Not published in the official text we read: the UTME score number, the screening format and subjects, the fee, the aggregate formula and the screening dates. UNIOSUN also warns against fake admission slots and unofficial WhatsApp or social media messages.

Before you pay or submit

Scam sites copy university notices every admission season, so check these before you part with money for UNIOSUN:

  • Type the portal address yourself or follow the link from the university's own website; do not use links sent on WhatsApp or social media.
  • Confirm the fee on the portal screen and keep the payment receipt and your application slip.
  • Compare the name on your JAMB profile, O'level result and birth documents letter by letter, because mismatches cause avoidable problems.
  • Never pay anyone who promises UNIOSUN admission, leaked questions or "expo"; they are scams and malpractice can cost you your place.

A practice plan for UNIOSUN

  1. Learn the test mode first. UNIOSUN calls it an aptitude test or screening, so build general reasoning, English and numeracy alongside your UTME subjects. Do your practice on a computer wherever you can, with a mouse and keyboard, so the real screen does not slow you down.
  2. Drill English and Mathematics daily. Use English Language practice and Mathematics practice in short, timed sets, then move to the subjects tied to your course.
  3. Practise under the clock. Set a timer for each block and finish it; CBT exam tips covers pacing, flagging and review habits.
  4. Check your logistics early. UNIOSUN warns that it is not responsible for losses from unofficial sources, so use only its official website and verified channels.
  5. Set a weekly rhythm. Plan five study days and one review day, and log your scores each week so you can see which topics are slipping before the next UTME and screening cycle.

Original example: A tank holds 600 litres and is 3/4 full. How many litres does it hold now? 3/4 of 600 is 450 litres. This is our own question, not from UNIOSUN.
