Nasarawa State University, Keffi, announces its screening as an online Post-UTME with a window that has stretched for months. The university homepage links to the application portal, but we could not read an NSUK notice text, so the figures below come from press reports and are labelled as such.
What the screening is
Reports call the 2026/2027 exercise the online Post-UTME screening, with registration on the university's post-UTME portal. For 2025/2026, education sites reported the screening as fully online with no examination, but the 2026/2027 reports we read do not repeat that claim or describe test questions, so confirm the format when your cycle opens.
Who can apply
For 2026/2027, AbsTechConnect (14 July 2026) reported that screening is open to candidates who scored 160 and above in the 2026 UTME with NSUK as first choice, and that Direct Entry applicants may also apply. We could not read the NSUK notice text itself (the myschool.ng page we cited shows only its headline), so we cannot give 2026/2027 course-by-course minimums.
For 2025/2026, MySchoolNews reported these minimums (last cycle's figures, not this one's):
- Law 200.
- Health Information Management, Civil Engineering and some other specified programmes 180.
- 170 for all other programmes.
Direct Entry in 2025/2026, as reported: a Lower Credit in ND or the NSUK Diploma, Merit in NCE, or 8 points in IJMB, plus five O'level credits including English and Mathematics in not more than two sittings. Check the current NSUK notice for the minimum for your course, because programme minimums often differ from the general floor.
How to apply
Register on the NSUK application portal at ug.nsuk.edu.ng/application, which the university homepage links as Apply to NSUK. For 2025/2026, a myschoolnews report listed these steps: create an account and profile, fill the forms, pay the 2,000 naira processing fee, upload your passport photograph and O'level results, and print your application summary and payment invoice. Confirm the 2026/2027 fee on the portal.

How your score is worked out
We found no NSUK statement of an aggregate formula or weights in the notices. Reports stress UTME minimums and O'level credits as the gatekeepers. For a general method, see our aggregate calculator guide.
What is not published
Not published in sources we could verify: the aggregate formula, whether any test is set, the 2026/2027 fee amount and results date. Some blogs mention admission must be accepted on JAMB CAPS within a set period; read the portal for the current rule.
Before you pay or submit
Scam sites copy university notices every admission season, so check these before you part with money for NSUK:
- Type the portal address yourself or follow the link from the university's own website; do not use links sent on WhatsApp or social media.
- Confirm the fee on the portal screen and keep the payment receipt and your application slip.
- Compare the name on your JAMB profile, O'level result and birth documents letter by letter, because mismatches cause avoidable problems.
- Never pay anyone who promises NSUK admission, leaked questions or "expo"; they are scams and malpractice can cost you your place.
A practice plan for NSUK
- Make the UTME score count. NSUK reportedly sets UTME minimums that can differ by course, so choose your UTME course with the minimum in mind. Your UTME score is the part of the process you can still influence, so spend most of your time on the four UTME subjects. Our guide to scoring 300 in JAMB is a good place to start.
- Keep your O'level record clean. Check that your name, date of birth and subjects match across your JAMB profile, result slips and birth documents. Upload your O'level results at an accredited JAMB CBT centre, as the notice requires, before you register on the NSUK portal.
- Sharpen English and Mathematics every day. Short sessions on English Language practice and Mathematics practice help with the UTME and with any aptitude test a university adds later.
- Run timed blocks. In the last month before the UTME, practise in 40-question timed sets with a visible clock; CBT exam tips explains how to pace yourself.
- Set a weekly rhythm. Plan five study days and one review day, and log your scores each week so you can see which topics are slipping before the next UTME and screening cycle.
Original example: Convert 0.375 to a fraction in its simplest form. 0.375 is 375/1000, which simplifies to 3/8. This is our own question, not from NSUK.
